Diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in 2014 when she was just 14, and again at 19, Taylah Miranda underwent treatment in both the Victorian children’s and adult cancer sectors. Despite the challenges she faced, Taylah successfully completed her Bachelor of Biomedical Science (BBiomedSc) at Monash University in 2022 and is currently pursuing her Honours in Biomedicine at The University of Melbourne, focusing on B-Cell Lymphoma research at WEHI.
Taylah’s inspiring journey led her to be a guest speaker at The Million Dollar Lunch in 2023, where a record 2.9 million was raised for the Children’s Cancer Foundation. Her honest and heartfelt speech recounting her cancer journey, played a significant role in the event’s success.
Driven by a passion to give back to the systems that saved her life, and to do better for those who did not make it through to survivorship, Taylah has joined forces with Children’s Cancer Foundation in the fight against children’s cancer.
