Gifts in Wills

Leave a legacy that will ensure children with cancer survive and thrive.

Including a charity in your Will is a highly personal decision and each year we are touched by the generosity of those individuals who choose to leave a gift in their Will to the Children’s Cancer Foundation. The incredible funding boost we receive through a gift in Will allows us to continue investing in life-changing research projects to help eliminate children’s cancer and provide vital support programs for families while their child undergoes treatment.

People from all walks of life choose to make a positive impact on the world, beyond their lifetime. A gift can be large or small, with all gifts having a profound impact on children and families across the county fighting by cancer.

Your ultimate gift

Once you’ve attended to the needs of your loved ones, leaving a charitable gift, even as little as 1% of your total estate, can create a legacy that will change the path of childhood cancer.

We understand it is a personal decision and it is important that your wishes are carried out correctly.

There are three main types of gifts you can choose to leave:

A residuary bequest

After taking care of family and loved ones, you can leave all or a percentage of the remainer of your estate.

A portion of your estate

Leave a nominated portion or fixed percentage of your estate.

A specific bequest

Leave a specific sum of money or shares.

Including the Children’s Cancer Foundation in your Will

If you would like to leave a gift to the Children’s Cancer Foundation in your Will, you could consider the wording below; however, we do suggest you seek professional advice from a lawyer or solicitor specialising in Wills and Estates.

“I give free of all duties and taxes [insert the dollar sum or percentage of your estate or assets to be gifted] to the Children’s Cancer Foundation (ABN 96 114 942 415) absolutely for its general charitable purposes and I declare that the receipt of an officer of that foundation shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my trustee/s.”

Alternatively, we’ve partnered with Australia’s leading online will-writing platform, Safewill, to make it easy for you to support the Children’s Cancer Foundation and create a personalised Will online, in your own time.
