We want to take this opportunity to firstly extend our sincere thanks for your previous support of The Million Dollar Lunch. Our work making a real difference to the lives of children with cancer, and their families, is made possible thanks to your generosity and ongoing commitment to this, our premier fundraising event

It is with regret The Million Dollar Lunch Committee have taken the decision to cancel the 2020 event planned for August.

It was decided this is a responsible course of action for the Foundation. We do not wish to impose on businesses and donors facing significant financial impacts during this time of crisis.

The Committee and Foundation have set their sights on creating another successful event in 2021.

While the impact to the Foundation from not holding the event means a loss of $2m of fundraising revenue in 2020, we are exploring other fundraising initiatives to support our work throughout the rest of the year.

We recently undertook a four-year forecast review that factors in The Million Dollar Lunch 2020 revenue loss. We are encouraged to advise you that we believe we will fulfil our commitments over the next four years, which include $14m investment in Clinical Research, Clinical Care, Clinical Trials and Family Support initiatives. That’s not to say we have all the money now,, but we are backing ourselves and our supporters to find it.
